“Lexx.” Chel realized he wasn’t getting it. Lexx was looking at her uncertainly, and his golden-orange eyes were sad. “The Nutramix was too strong for me. You could accidentally stop my heart trying to fix it.” “I know what I’m doing.” Lexx grimaced. He rubbed his arms and tried not to meet Chel’s eyes. He felt ashamed, but couldn’t figure out why. He was only trying to help. “I’m in complete control.” Chel sighed. “I don’t want you doing anything to me like that without my permission.” Lexx stood silently in front of her. He had no idea what to do. Chel was mad at him, and his mind stopped working. What was he supposed to do? Chel stared at him, realizing that look on his face. She walked up to him and lifted a hand to caress the side of his face. Chel ran her fingers up into Lexx’s hair. The corners of his mouth twitched up for a moment. “You don’t understand how some of the things you can do scare me.” Chel looked up into his eyes and spoke gently. “I don’t want you to be afraid of me, Chel.” Lexx leaned forward. “I didn’t ask for any of this. If I could get rid of it, I would.” Chel felt terrible for having to almost yell at him. He looked so defeated by her words. =-=-=-=--==- Points at The House On The Corner - This lead to me reminding my love of Lexx and Chel.  You might like Cadeyrn and Maria.
