“Mel, she chose to get on a space ship.” Vic grimaced, conceding this battle to his wife. He turned to the empty room.
“So would you.” Mel chuckled, keeping her hands on her husband.
“Yes, and I did, but Chel is in danger from aliens wanting to hurt Lexx through her.” Vic attempted to defend his fears, by laying them out. “They might take her again.”
