A few minutes later, Chel stepped out in a simple long blouse and shorts. There were not any zippers, fasteners, or any bizarre fastenings. The fabric was cool to the touch and Chel giggled at the thought of clothes with air conditioning, then an iconic image of Marilynn Monroe standing over a grate with her dress blowing up flickered through her mind. Chel giggled again, straightening the lower hem of the blouse and thankful she was given shorts and not a skirt beneath the blouse.
“Better?” Maelinn inquired with a smile.
“Yes, thank you, Maelinn,” laughed Chel. “And thank Riley for me.”

I’m trying really hard to break out of putting everyone in jeans and tshirts (although I think I did that primarily because I was under a lot of stress and couldn’t think creatively.) 😀
