“No,” Chel threw up a hand without hesitating. She had thought this through before. One of the many possibilities she had run through was Lexx asking her to leave Earth to be with him. It was a silly fantasy thought, but it had entered her mind. That was no life for her.
The moment she had been kidnapped had solidified Chel’s resolve that she wanted to remain on Earth. It was ok to visit, but Earth would always be home.
“I love Lexx, but this is my home.” Chel stated. “Don’t take Lexx unless he wants to go. Ask him.”
“We will consider it.” Zaile noticeably rolled his eyes. Damian and Mauki averted their eyes, obviously not in charge of whatever decision had likely been made.
