The relay ended abruptly, dumping Chel back into reality. She glanced around the room, noticing that Maelinn was not in the room with them and the other four aliens were getting to their feet to leave.
Chel, being closer to the door, turned away from them, “Talk to Lexx. Not behind his back.”
“Why don’t you talk to Lexx.” Zaile grumbled.
“He doesn’t need me there influencing him.” Chel didn’t turn around to face Zaile. She had had enough of him.
