Aaaaaand there’s the fatherly arrogance again. He’ll speak TO them. Not WITH them. He’s not interested at all in what they might think or have to say, just that he relays to them the info he wants to relay. These two dads are truly a match made in heaven.
Haha finally all caught up again. I adore this comic and have been reading it for over thirteen years now, which is about half of my life. This story inspires me and gives me a lot to think about. It’s worth the week it takes to get through the archives, every time.
I’ve thought about a lot of different things I could say about this comic, and your work. There are always a lot of things I want to say as I read through, but I don’t. I just don’t tend to share a lot of what I’m thinking. I do want to share that this story inspires me. I have named characters in fanfictions and stories (many of which are now gone and likely unobtainable,) after some of your characters. I come back here when I’m having problems with creativity, and focusing on my ideas.
And often when I’m depressed.
I won’t go into detail about all of my thoughts as to why this comic is helpful when I’m depressed. The result would probably be a three page essay. But it’s good to know that you have friends, even when you’re at your worst. And it’s good to have things that remind you of that.
