Ten o'clock came and went,… then eleven.  Chel's stomach began growling.  She gave in and trudged to the kitchen.  It was near lunchtime, but Chel felt like eating breakfast now and fixed herself a couple pieces of sausage, eggs and a toasted English muffin. 'Ok,… I'm going to finish my late breakfast, then I'm going to check on Lexx.'  She sat down at the table in the dining room.  'This time I'm not going to just sit around waiting for him all day.' Half an hour later, Chel used the door remote.  It was just as easy as Lexx said it was and it worked.  Relieved, Chel stepped into the light and a moment later found herself on the Rift.  She paused a moment to glance into the biosphere.  Skate was swimming around lazily, but no other dice were visible. It was easy enough to get up to the living area, but Chel moved cautiously.  "Lexx??"  Chel called out, hoping he would answer.  It was really creeping her out that he had not met her and didn't seem to be on the ship. "… in here …" came the pained reply.  Chel was relieved and afraid at the same time.  He didn't sound okay.
