Chel stepped out of the swirling golden door and stood in her room.  She had left the desk lamp on.  It was perfectly normal.  The same room she'd walked into every day since high school.  Her bed was neatly made, everything was picked up and out of the way.  It was orderly and normal. But she wasn't. 'Oh,.. no,' Chel doubled over as she walked to her bed, clutching her lurching stomach 'Could this get any worse?!  I feel sick just thinking about it!  One of those THINGS in my head?!  One of those little machines?!'  She shuddered and collapsed face first on the bed.  'It's moving around.  I can feel it now.  I've got to get rid of it somehow,.. please,.. just go away, get out of my head!'  Chel wiped her eyes in frustration.

  1. There is such a thing as ‘imagining things’. So you’ve got a tiny creature in your brain…breaking news, you’ve had trillions of tiny creatures in your body. From BIRTH. They’re called viruses, bacteria, cells…your entire body is composed of them. So one of them is mechanoid…big deal. Though, I shall be honest…I believe I’d be shocked as well.
How’d Stealth even GET her paws on a relay? Are those things self-replicating or something?

    1. She stole it, remember? She mentioned it when Lexx first asked her about it, and then Lexx alluded to it again with her having stolen it being why he wouldn’t let he go into the clothing store with the rest of them (when he went shopping for clothes that’d fit over his wings).

    2. And the vast majority of people try very hard to pretend that’s not true. I mean, we acknowledge it intelectually, but on a more basic level most deny it because to do otherwise would drive them nuts.
