Chel sighed and sat up, clutching a pillow tightly to her chest as tears streamed down her face.  This was all too much.  'I don't want it!  I don't!  Lexx,.. said it was permanent.  There's nothing anyone can do,… I don't want people to be able to see my thoughts!! If anyone finds out it's there,.. they might kill me just to research it.  I don't want to die!'  She couldn't salvage a single rational thought, overcome with news.   The only things that were going through her mind were old sci-fi movies about alien encounters and nano machines.  They never seemed to end in a good way. 'Why did he do this to me?!  What did I do??'  Chel sniffed and tried to sort through her thoughts.  Nobody knew.  She was safe.  That was good.  Nobody was going to come after her.  And the relay?  It made her skin crawl to imagine that it was in her head,… but logical thinking won out in that she really didn't feel any different. She had a lot of thinking to do.
