Dr. Hobbes opened the door for Chel, "Chel!"  She gasped as Stealth walked by her, growling lowly.  "Your cat wasn't a lion the last time I saw her!" "She was hit by a car, she really needs attention!"  Chel exclaimed urgently.  The vet backed away slowly, thinking it over.  It was an injured animal,… but it also had claws and teeth bigger than most of her patients. "Follow me and we'll get a good look at her,"  Dr. Hobbes turned away and walked into a small examining room just off the waiting room. "Come on, Stealth,"  Chel urged  Stealth onward, keeping the blanket on her. Andrea and Kalvin took seats in the waiting room, … not noticing Fly go running across the floor after Chel and Stealth. Once inside the room, Chel pulled the blanket off of Stealth and motioned to the table, "Get on the table so Dr. Hobbes can look at you."  Stealth gave a wary look at the vet, who was staring at her with wide eyes, then hopped on top of the steel table.  She promptly laid down with a growl directed at the vet. Dr. Hobbes had thought Stealth was a mountain lion from what she could see, probably an illegal pet. Or maybe a large dog of some kind.  Now, she was certain that this animal was not anything natural. "I can't work on this animal!  I don't even know what it is!"  Dr. Hobbes stared across the table at Chel, who was gently stroking Stealth's neck. "Just treat her like a cat!  She got hit by a car!"  Chel repeated, trying to comfort Stealth. "Calm down, Chel,"  Dr. Hobbes sighed, still unsure about touching Stealth.  That cat's green eyes were fixated on her and the white skin of her nictating membrane was visible.  She knew that wasn't a good sign in any animal. "Do something!  She's lost a lot of blood." Exclaimed Chel, glancing at the doctor, then back at Stealth. Dr. Hobbes stood there, frowning.  Blood was dripping off her table from the creature's wound. It was deep.  She could see bone.  Maybe if she gave her something to ease the pain and dull her senses it would be safe to treat the injury.  "I'll try a little sedative first, before I examine her."  The vet walked to a nearby minifridge and opened it, searching for something that would be strong enough to work on an animal as large as Stealth. "That wound is deep and ragged. Just by looking at her muzzle,… she might also have some internal bleeding.  I won't be certain about anything without x-rays and the technician won't be in for a few more minutes."
