A thought entered Chel's head. She looked at Riley suspiciously. "Hmmm…" She murmured to herself. It would be better to ask than just to wonder. "Riley, have you skimmed me?"
"When we first met,.. just a little," admitted the grinning alien without skipping a breath. In mirror of his innocence, a little golden halo flared briefly around his head. He was trying to make light of it. Chel folded her arms and gave him a stern look. "Relax." Riley stopped playing around and stated seriously. "I did not probe further. I wouldn't. I was just concerned about what you were doing with Lexx."
Chel shrugged and asked the next question on her mind, a much more serious one that she felt she already knew the answer to. It was eating on her. "Riley,… has Lexx skimmed me?"

is it me or did riley make a virtual halo around his head to appear more innocent in panel 1 ?
