“Lexx is not going to like that.” Chel looked away from her father.
“Chel, you know why.” Vic leveled a slightly more stern look in Chel’s direction. “I expect you to help us persuade him to cooperate.”
“I don’t want to.” Chel muttered at the table.
“It’s for his safety… and yours.”
“I”ll stay home, Dad.” Chel met her father’s eyes pleadingly. “Please leave Lexx alone.”
“I can’t.” Vic shook his head, then looked at Sirius, who was now sitting on one side of Chel, up on his haunches so that his head towered over her. He had a troubled look on his face that rivaled Chel’s.
*Sigh* Lost most of the day in ad revenue. :( Not a good time to lose on a site update when the stores are gearing up for Thanksgiving. Luckily, I got paid today and was able to get in and make the payment for the domain name so I didn't lose it and then have to pay more to get it back.

No, don’t make her choose! He’s forcing Chel to choose between him and Lexx. And she doesn’t want to lose either of them, so she’s going to try to come up with a solution to make everyone happy. Which might happen, but only temporarily. Until Lexx wants freedom or Vic wants Lexx to be an experiment.

Hmm. This may not be as sinister as Chel and the others might think. Vic might just want to protect Lexx from anyone else who’s gotten the rumor of a super-powered grey human with massive potentially killer beasts.
IE: There’s far worse than Vic’s organization that might want Lexx and a little monitoring by the good guys might be a necessary evil.

Well, this actually might be for the best… The ADC shouldn’t be able to do anything to Lexx if he’s in Earth custody (due to the policy of not interfering with developing planets). And I highly doubt Vic would allow any evil alien autopsy type scenarios (maybe a blood test and x-rays, but not a dissection). Meanwhile Kade and the alliance against the ADC can try to dig up something incriminating… hopefully.

The only reason they’re both so calm about this is because of a certain die.
I love Energy/Sirius popping up behind Chel and totally being ignored in the last panel. 😀

I hadn’t considered that Serenity was already having an effect.
I stand by what I already said for this update. Lexx is likely going to need protection to stay safe if he can move to earth.
