Chel stood beside the bed, staring down at Lexx in concern. He looked at peace. Chel glanced to the other end of the room where Riley, her father and Kade were talking. Sirius and Serenity were sitting nearby listening and not paying any attention to her.
“I’m so sorry.” Chel leaned over the side of the bed and whispered to Lexx. “I know there’s nothing I could have done differently that would have stopped this from happening, but I still feel like it was my fault.”
Lexx didn’t stir or act like he was the least bit conscious. Chel reached past the bed railing and laid her fingers gently on Lexx’s bandaged hand, seeking some reassuring response to her words. “Are you awake in there?”

btw sorry for the late reply on this.. but i kinda know how you feel for first time voice dubbing. i was lucky enough in ’05 to do a workshop with bang zoom at anime expo and i totally felt like i did everything wrong.
i found it wasn’t for me ultimately but i hope that you get a second call back soon. ^-^

FYI, when Lexx is asleep he is dreaming that he is an ex-marine in a wheelchair. (sorry, couldn’t resist)
Although, if the Trasik-clone had actually stabbed her, instead of Lexx heroically jumping in and taking the hit, the nanovirus would have had no affect on her and all would be well (aside from the whole getting stabbed in the back thing).
