Day 26 Part 2 Page 12

“If you had seen someone try to hurt Chel, would you trust them?” “Never.” Lexx’s face contorted in conflict. He didn’t want to say it, but forced the words out, wanting to be as truthful as he could, no matter how much it hurt. “Then you know what I’m giving you.” Vic wasn’t smiling. Vic wasn’t trusting him because he wanted to. He had to. It did not have to be spoken. The point had been made and Lexx realized quickly that if he wanted things to go smoothly, he was going to have to cooperate fully.

  1. Based on the placement of the speech bubbles here, is Lexx saying “Never.” between or after Victor’s two comments? It seems like it’d make more sense if he spoke between them, but the placement suggests afterwards.

    1. I agree, it would make more sens in-between.

Also, love the effects on Lexx’ hair. And the sprays of water on the left.

    2. In between. The panel reads vertically, regardless of side.

      1. Nope. I fixed it earlier. Not sure how the placements got off, and you read left to right, then down, exactly the same as reading a book.

  2. it read as in-between the two comments for me just fine…

  3. Well, I have finally caught up after two weeks of re-reading of archives (and two years of previous hiatus in reading).

So much have happened during short in-universe time…

I am totally fascinated with your storytelling, and I thank you for this amazing story.

Now I can’t wait for continuation *sigh*

  4. *shudder*

Vic is being entirely truthful, and at the same time respectful and taking Chel and Lexx’s feelings into account. It’s extremely powerful, and it really, REALLY makes me like him.

  5. Sure, forcing Chexx into a corner where the only life they will have together is with Lexx locked up and CHEL being an agent, and they only get to be together for an hour t a time, and sure, studying Lexx FOREVER I a great way to learn about aliens Being strapped up on a chair STUDIED a FOREVER!!!!

I’m rambling. I love this story too much.
