Day 26 Part 2 Page 15

“This is so awesome!” Keith rested a hand on Chel’s shoulder. “I can talk to you anytime?” “Yes.” Chel stared at Zaile in increasing agitation. He was watching with a completely blank expression, but Chel could swear to seeing a glimmer of amusement in his eyes. “I will make arrangements for you to acquire one before we reach earth, plus instruction.” Zaile offered politely. Keith rocked on the balls of his feet in glee, while Chel continued to glare at Zaile, unsure of what was going to happen. She kind of liked being the only human with a relay. What would Keith do with a relay? He wasn’t the type to barge in on anything he wasn’t invited to, but his reaction to this technology was worrying to her. This is not going to be good.

  1. All this touching he’s doing to Chel… and then saying, “I can talk to you any time”…

He hasn’t given up, has he? *sigh* Men are dense. She’s just not that into you, Keith!

Also, *why* doesn’t Chel go into why he shouldn’t get one, rather than just saying, “Don’t”? If he knew how much it could mess him up, how others could invade his mind and dreams, he might not be as excited about it anymore.

  2. Something tells me Zaile is up to something…. just a bit … o_0

  3. And for the rest of the story, we’ll be hearing Keith saying “Can you hear me now?” in all those who have Relays in their heads.

This could only end in disaster, just look at what happens to the parents cell bill when they give their teenager a cell phone.

    1. Keith isn’t exactly your average teenager. He’s a trained agent. Yeah, he’s young…
Still not exactly your average teen. I see him becoming more of Chel’s friend -who she can “talk” openly too- than being the annoying verizon guy.

  4. Three words: Danger, Will Robinson!
