Day 26 Part 3 Pg 4

“We can have someone pick up breakfast when we get home.”  Vic suggested, not noticing that Maelinn was standing nearby.  She was just coming to see how they were doing and if they needed anything.  She stopped at the table with a blank look as she listened to the conversation, unsure of what she should say. “But this is better than fast food!”  Chel defended her plate, taking a bite of the creamy custardy dish in front of her.  “Better for us too!” --------------------------------------------------- I'm just going to ignore the feelings of failure to have text current yet again or I'll get nothing done.  This is my convention list for the 2013 year, btw!   Just updated it to show all of the conventions I am OFFICIALLY registered to have a table at.  I had one convention last year.  This year.. I have four. I'm forcing myself to 'slow' down.  It's not in a way you'll notice, it's more of stop pushing myself to work in a straight line and take breaks on the clock so I stop feeling overwhelmed.  I have intimidating things to get done.  One of those being the whole: Oh good grief, I've never had to convert files to CMYK from RGB and I refuse to DO the files in CMYK because they are hideous when you upload them to the internet... and let's face it, the majority of my readers WILL be reading them in RGB on a monitor/tablet and NOT CMYK in a book.  Yes, I still plan to do the book kickstarter, it's just very overwhelming.  Once I have a moment with a clear mind (and the text is all done to current again), I will go through and FIGURE IT OUT. I tend to run forward in everything and ride energy without pause and I think I need to stop doing that.  So I'm going to.  Starting tomorrow.  We'll see how that works. - Tiff

  1. I’m not sure about that persons look as they stand their at their table.

    Was it really food?

    1. On balance of probabilities, given the setting and so forth, I think it was food. I’ve got the feeling that the person there was the one that served it to them, possibly having prepared it as well, and has just had to listen to Vic’s disrespectful suspicion. We shall see. >:=>

      1. I thought it was Riley’s girlfriend. Maelynn, was it? Can’t remember.

        1. I think it is Maelynn, and she probably came over to see how they were, heard everything that Vic said, and is incredibly embarrassed.

    2. I’m betting she’s about to say “Oh, no…this is fattening dessert food.”

  2. That poor waitress. She didn’t expect such a conversation to deal with. This wasn’t covered in the training manual!

  3. I bet Maelynn (spelling?) prepared the food. Or at the very least got it for them.

  4. Hi! this is my first comment, though I’ve been here a while. The text is nice, but so long as we get the comic rather than not getting anything we will be happy! We can wait for the text, so long as we know that the new material is here and coming. 🙂 Keep it up, You’re awesome!
