Day 26 Part 5 Page 02

“You eat too much red meat, Dear.” Mel smirked across the table at her husband. “I think of it as processed greens.” Vic stuffed the salad into his mouth like it was the most horrible thing he’d ever eaten. Lexx looked from Vic to Mel, then down to his soup.  Vic’s expression was not endearing him to wanting to try the salad, but the soup at least smelled good.  Lexx decided to move without thinking about the end result.  Put the spoon in the soup and stir it.  See what was in it. The soup was thin with a plentiful amount of those little colorful bits. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Heh, this is actually an adaptive method I use when I don't want to do something.  I don't think about the end result.  I step forward and commit myself until a small step takes me to a point of no return and the only way to go IS forward. I enjoyed a lovely soup with red meat, mushrooms, green onions and a WHOLE zucchini the night I wrote this. :D  Mmm... red meat. - Tiff

  1. Eh, I like salad.

Especially with homemade Blue Cheese dressing. Let’s see if Lexx can get in one spoonful of soup in his mouth before something comes along and distracts him.

    Chug!Chug!Chug!Chug!

  2. Given Lexx’s previous response (way back in the early strips) to milk, I’d say a vegetable soup is the best way to ease him into real food.

  3. What kind of soup IS that?

    1. looks like a tomato-lentil soup.

    2. I dunno, but it sure looks yummy.

My guess would be tomato soup with bits of carrots and maybe peas?

    3. looks a bit llike progresso’s homestyle tomato soup with all those celery and spices and whatnot

    4. I’d be willing to bet on a miso soup, with veggie & seaweed bits. Some studies have shown miso to be a good fast breaking substance when one hasn’t eaten in a long while.

  4. I love Vic’s “processed greens” comment. XD

    1. “and processed meat?”
vic: “i flush when i go.”

  5. “Veggies are what food eats.” Doc Nickel
