Day-27-1-02

“Your mom made them, since she didn’t get to see you today.” Vic smiled back. “Ah.” Chel nodded picking up a bag of chips and depositing it on her tray. It was an odd looking bag and she noticed after a second look, why it was odd. They weren’t chips, they were vitamin infused wafers masquerading as chips. There was writing on the foil bag clearly identifying them. She shrugged and sat down by her father while Keith busily filled his own plate. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Little delayed. Yesterday, I went out and solved my problems, mostly, by purchasing a half priced clearanced Samsung Ativ 500t from Staples with a half price dock. IT has a wacom driver. IT RUNS Manga Studio. Ok, maybe it runs a LITTLE slowly, because it's not high end, but I can get by on it better than the Elitepad, which is going to go on Craigslist. Next year, I'll go on with my plan to get a nicer laptop for when I can't use the desktop/when I need to be mobile. If I had to sit with the 22" Yiynova in my lap again this weekend, I was going to go crazy, because I spent the entire weekend WORRYING about it and if I was going to accidentally tip it off my lap. :D So, problem solved. I got it 10% further off, because it was missing a pen, so that's my next goal, ASAP. This also means text will start moving and I'll start updating the website look with the actual look. Ativ is nowhere near a Cintiq Companion or a Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga - but it works! - Tiff

  1. I wasn’t sure if you were interested, but I did have an idea for getting rid of that laptop. What if you made it a raffle? $15 to buy a “ticket” with 200 slots available. Make clear that if you don’t get at least $2000 in tickets sold that the tickets would be considered donations. That or you could have it apply towards stuff in your store. It was just a thought.
