Lexx’s face turned abruptly serious, making Vic rethink speaking at all until it was necessary.
“But I’m afraid I have no choice in hurting you.” Lexx focused on Chel, ignoring everyone else in the room. “I’ve been notified that my time is up and the gauntlet will begin in a few hours. I have a possibility of dying today.”

I can’t remember if this particular event was explained to them. But at the very least, one would assume Vic and Mel might suspect what this event is about with a name like that and considering what Vic has seen and explained to his colleagues.

I couldn’t remember! I also have no idea where it is in the story! 😀 I know it was brought up, and I THINK it may have come up in that conversation between Riley and Chel early on. (Just recalling that.) So Chel should know, but I purposely did the dialogue in a way that even if they don’t know in the story, it’s not exactly coming you can’t immediately figure out. Now.. I’m going to have to go check on that… if only I had all of this in some sort of handy printed form… made out of dead trees.
