Day 27 4 12

There was not any rush or hurry.   There wasn’t the needed impulse to act to push him along, Lexx was willing the more casual contact.  He wanted it and considered the still new to him and confusing emotions welling up within him.  Chel was the only one he felt these indescribable feelings for that he could only think of as love.  And it was beginning to hurt as his thoughts shifted to the facts, the possibility that he might never feel that way again and didn’t want it broken. And I simply hurt.  If I look in her eyes If I look in his eyes. Chel felt Lexx’s grip tighten briefly, but she kept her eyes forward.  She couldn’t look at him.  Everything that occurred in the prior weeks was running through her mind in a flood of thoughts and considerations.  It was overwhelming her and now that they were removed from everyone else, it was like being removed from the entire situation, but the reality of it was hitting home. For a  brief time, they had been able to distract themselves from the game.  Now, there were battles coming up and from what Chel understood, these battles were going to be unlike any that Lexx had fought before. She prayed for a moment to herself, pushing aside the selfish request that Lexx survive and stay with her, but that he would survive and what would be, would be.  His life was more important than her desires. They reached the small natural swimming pool that had formed out of an overhang and a shallow depression in the ground, not more than five feet in depth at its deepest point.  Streams of crystal clear water showered over the overhang that covered half the pool, making it a shady and cool spot to spend a hot afternoon.

  1. “If I look in his eyes, I will cry. He’ll comfort me, I know he will. It will hurt him, and I can’t afford to hurt him before his match. I need to be strong for him. If I distract him again, he’ll get hurt, and this time, he won’t get back up.”

“If I look in her eyes, I won’t be able to look away. I’ll be distracted. I can’t let myself fail now. I need to focus, and if she sees my fear, she’ll worry for me. All I need to do is win. Then I can be free.”

The tension was so thick they could feel the pain and anxiety in the air.

Then Riley ran up with a beautiful dress. The entire dress was sheer, and she could see light through it. The only opaque parts were some strategically placed glistening sequins. It might as well have been made of plastic wrap. “Chel! we need to get you fitted for your dress for the afterparty! Come along! We need to get you fitted and prepared!”

‘Oh no,’ Chel though. ‘More embarrassment and preparation. Not again.’ As he led her away, she trudged forward, determined to look her best for when Lexx won. “I’m not wearing that, Riley.”

    1. Argh! I read that as Riley ran up IN a sheer dress and cracked up laughing inside! Now I can’t unsee it, complete with a shining sparkly background.

      1. oh *ish* pass the brain bleach please.

      2. haha that would make a nice vote incentive.

        1. Yessss! Do it! Do it! Tiff! You need to make a vote incentive with Riley in a translucent dress with only sparkles censoring his naughty bits!

          Riley needs more art here!

        2. I’ll think about it. 😀

      3. Don’t forget to have vines of roses around the border of the image!

        1. And maybe a chibi image of Lexx screaming something like “Aaaugh! CANNOT UNSEE!”

  2. Lmao. The bishounen is strong in this page’s comments lol

  3. I run a weekly webcomic spotlight over on facebook. Guess whose turn it is this week? (Click my name to see)

  4. I just realized that Chel’s eyes and hair are to opposite of Lexx’s eyes and hair. While Chel has blue eyes and yellow/blond hair, Lexx has blue hair with yellow eyes.

    1. You think that’s bad? I figured it out a couple of months ago. It was not intentional.
