Meanwhile, back at the ERA facility, Victor was in an oddly casual meeting with the ERA Directors, Primrose and Malcolm. Following a heated discussion with Malcolm, Vic was not backing down in his arguments against the use of CAPES. Primrose sat quietly, irritated at both men.
“What did you think was going to happen, Victor? We need a way to control Lexx.” Malcolm scowled across a plate piled high with a variety of donuts.
“He came back. It was unnecessary to bring CAPES in.” Vic pointed out, taking a bite out of a chocolate donut. “He’ll do anything Chel asks him to.”
“We need to put leash on him so we know where he is at all times.” Malcolm grumbled.
“He will be wherever Chel is and she was agreeable to doing what we asked.” Vic stated.

They are being kind of stupid here. I get that Lexx is an unknown factor, but the fact of the matter is that he ERA is trying to forcibly control a nonhostile through the threat of violence. Vic, instead, wants to use his own daughter as a reward to manipulate Lexx. Chel doesn’t have a say in this, she is nothing more than a carrot on a string.
Vic is honestly a little perplexing. He’s okay with dangling Chel in front of Lexx as motivation, but it’s also clear that he does not want Lexx to actually have her. So far, I think Vic and Melissa are just as bad as the director, if not moreso. Like I said with First, at least Malcolm is up front about his desire to control Lexx.
Honestly, I’m kind of hoping the ERA gets taken down a peg or two. I would not wish death on Vic or Melissa, if for no other reason than Chel is (partially) innocent in all this, and it would harm her and her brother. Not so concerned about Andrea, though.

Ugh, and this is why I hate Vic. Sure I dislike the other two but it’s not their fault they’re stupid.

Really? And why is that? Is he your pet? Your slave? Your property in any moral sense?
No. He is his own person, as far as you are concerned. The ADC has a similar immoral claim otherwise.
Your fears of being out of control are making you an evil person. This is what governments do. It is stupid, and choosing to be part of it *is* your fault, you drones.
