“This girl,…” Vic shook his head incredulously as Chill made another pass, waving her arms in the air wildly. “I think we just adopted her.” Mel laid a hand on Vic’s shoulder, then leaned in to kiss him on the cheek.
“It’ll be fine, Dear, I read her file too.” Mel grinned, a little too accepting of the situation in Vic’s eyes.
“I don’t need any more teenagers in my life.” Vic sighed. They seemed to take a greater amount of energy to work with than younger kids, considering they were far more mobile, independent, and more likely to get in over their heads. Vic couldn’t help but want to keep his eyes on every single one of those, even when they weren’t his responsibility. Seeing any of them end up injured or dead just wasn’t an option while he was around.
It was tiring.

well, i for one think that Damian could actually be a good fit for her. Then again, i already sort of shipped damian with the exslave girl…
