Lexx and Chel returned to the beach half an hour later, to find Damian and Kade speaking to Victor, Mel, and Chill. Riley was nearby in the shallows playing with Maenae. Chel grimaced, seeing her parents waiting for her. She wasn’t sure what to expect with both of them there.
Lexx kept walking, so Chel kept walking. He didn’t seem concerned or bothered by what was going on, mentally whispering things to Chel across the relay. Lexx wasn’t thinking about anything but Chel for the moment.
That was, until Maenae noticed he was on the beach. The little alien girl darted out of Riley’s grasp and onto the beach, her arms raised as she ran to him “Daddy!”
“Maenae!” Lexx’s mood abruptly shifted from affectionate to worried. What was she doing here?
She shouldn’t be here. Lexx knelt to meet Maenae and pick her up.

Are you honestly asking us if we want a month of Mel spazzing out over all the shiny things and running Vic and Kade ragged as she dashes all over the ship?
OF COURSE WE WANT THAT! I was hoping for at least one gag of Mel, a trained scientist, reaching for something dangerous with an expression of childlike wonder. That would be hilarious!

Hooraaaay! Tiff, you’re awesome! If I still did my pyrophoric sculptures, I would totally make one for you. It’s a block of paper, and each page is painted with chemicals. When you light the corner, it burns away, revealing the fireproof 3d statue inside, made of borax soaked paper. I would love to be able to make them again. Shame they’re no longer allowed around here.

I suddenly find, I can’t remember if Vic knows about Maenae or not. Going to be an interesting surprise if he doesn’t, yet.

Vic knows of her, but Lexx made it clear he does not want Vic anywhere near Maenae.
I wouldn’t put it past Lexx to tell Vic outright that based on what he has seen from Chel, and he’s heard from Riley, Vic is not allowed anywhere near sweet little Maenae.
“I don’t want you or your ‘scientists’ anywhere near Maenae. I have seen enough of your films to know what will happen to her.”
