Lexx glided erratically. A few more bullets whizzed by to one side. Lexx wished he had real wings and the ability to actually fly. “They’re trying to force us to land!” Lexx’s mind was working quickly to figure out some way he could land and take off again without getting hit.

“Lexx! I’m using my remote!!” Chel found her voice, her hand fumbling around for the pocket of her jeans. She was thankful she had kept it with her – which was more because she had forgotten about it than forethought into any trouble.

“I don’t want them to see-” Lexx began to protest.

“We don’t have much of a choice, do we?!” shouted Chel. “Besides, it’s not like they’re going to know where we went or how to find us!” Chel gripped the small device tightly as she finally got it out of her pocket. She just had to push one button, and the door would appear.
