"They are not free like you and me!"  Claudia snapped, looming toward Saign in an aggressive manner. "Nobody is free,"  Saign was not the least bit intimidated.  "We all have to work to live.  This is how it is.  I don't see you freeing your dice." "That's different,"  grumbled Claudia, "My sets are animals. They can't survive on their own." Saign smirked.  "Listen to yourself, Claudia.  'They can't survive on their own'.  My team would be worse off without players like me." "But you are treating them like property and animals!"  argued Claudia, "And by taking part in the game, you're just progressing it!  If you didn't play, then there wouldn't be as much demand.  You're just contributing to the problem,…" "They get the BEST food, clothes, accommodations, entertainment,…"  Saign ignored what Claudia was saying. "Show animals!"  Claudia stamped her right foot in annoyance.  "It doesn't matter how you treat them!  It's wrong."

      I’m afraid Saign makes a valid point. Everyone needs to work to make a living…to survive.

      However, I also agree with Claudia…these people never had a prospect to do anything else. They had no choice but to fight.

      That by itself is plain out horrible and wrong.
      I understand that there are those who enjoy fighting, and there’s nothing wrong with them putting their lives on the line for the entertainment of others…but to be forced to do that, to have to fight just to see another sunrise…that is wrong.

    Why is Claudia so smart and kind all of a sudden? Uh oh. Smart, kind, cares for Lexx, beautiful. Looks like Chel might get some real competition for once.

      You forgot to mention how Lexx thought that if Claudia had approached him differently, there could have been something between them. Then she went and got aggressive about it.
      Honestly, if Lexx would just ‘get caught’ once, she’d probably loose interest…
