"They only last six hours, Chel." Kip smiled. "Then they deactivate and are expelled from your body."
"What is with you aliens and all your meddling when I don't ask for it!" Chel quickly slid under her blanket and pulled the covers up over her head, forcing Kip to dart out of the way to avoid being hit. He floated up to the headboard and shook his head, wishing he had a good answer.

Eeesh. I know he was trying to be helpful, but it’s polite to ask for consent before administering medical treatment! I can see why she’s upset.
