Acadiu attempted to get out of Lexx's way, but there was no avoiding this attack.  The two spun in the air as Lexx hit him and immediately started falling.  It was at that point that Lexx realized something.  Acadiu's wings were not as bright or as long as they had been.  They were made up of energy,… and there was no way that he could maintain them for the entire battle. 'I just realize something, Acadiu,…'  Lexx spoke over the relay, focusing his entire mind on his opponent as they grappled momentarily.  Lexx let go long enough to swing his injured wing toward Acadiu, more to distract him than cause more injury.   'Your wings are fading!' Acadiu's attention automatically went to the wing, leaving him just enough open for Lexx to move in and lay into him with a series of vicious punches to his body and head.  'I think it's time we finish this!'  Acadiu put up as much of a fight as he could, but nothing he was doing was keeping Lexx back.  And worse, he couldn't get a hit of his own in.  None of the modifiers he had cast were having an effect on Lexx's onslaught. And Acadiu realized just how determined Lexx was in his choice.  This was the Lexx he remembered best.  When they had sparred in the academy, he had held back against the ones that he knew, but this was the way he fought against everyone else.  He wished this was one of those spars,… because half the time Lexx's sparring partners ended up in the infirmary bruised and with broken bones from onslaughts like this. But Lexx had always been more about technique than brutality against his friends,… that's why Acadiu was such a good fighter,… and Traice and the others.  They truly sparred instead of just beating each other senseless out of annoyance and disgust.  Why help out the others?  It was them against everyone else, then,… and now.
