“They are good strong people – who don’t think as well as they should when emotions come into play.” Lexx’s grandmother ignored her daughter’s protest. “Mom!!” Lessa groaned in embarrassment. “Lexx’s world does not need us right now.” The elder rishan stared into Chel’s eyes, resting one hand reassuringly on her shoulder. “He needs you.” “No.” Chel pulled away. “He needs me out of his life. He’s coming into a trap – for me!!” She felt the urge to run, to escape from the aliens surrounding her and the predicament she was in. But knowing she was every bit as trapped as Lexx was in their current situation held her there. She didn’t have anywhere to go. She was going to have to see this through, albeit with great reluctance.

  1. You just said the most important mouthful of this entire arc, Chel!

  2. I agree with you Redlion.

  3. Chel is radiant in panel 3 – her eyes revealing her concern for Lexx. How can this happen in a drawing? It will always be a mystery to me.

  4. Tiff is just that good an artist.

  5. But, Chel being out of Lexx’ life would leave him with so much less to live for.
