Lexx stared ahead, then lifted a hand to groggily wave at Stealth. He was still smiling. Then, he turned and at the same time stepped into dark shadows. Stealth realized what he was doing too late as the shadow seemed to grow and wrap around him. “No!” She roared lunging after Lexx. ------------------------------------------------------------- Edit Edit: BAHAHAHA!! I FINALLY FOUND THE PROBLEM AND HOW TO FIX IT!!! So hopefully by morning, all those ads should be filtered out. Found a page that showed what I would allow content wise and it had a toggled check box next to : Audio: Autoload I unchecked it and checked: Audio: User Initiated - which means ads that you mouse over. Which will likely bump my revenue a few dollars since there are more of those than the more annoying kind for obvious reasons. Edit: Went ahead and disabled the ad company that was likely feeding the ads with sound along with regular ads. I'll take a hit on it, but that won't matter much if the monthly goal is met. It's $300 + January's leftovers. If you're hearing sounds on this site and you use Chrome - it's a problem with Chrome having a problem with something else. :P Verified this morning by two people telling me they use Chrome and hear 'music like an ad'. I have no idea what it is, since I do not use Chrome (I use Firefox) and avoid Google products since they like to sneak ads in everywhere they can. I've verified two of my advertisers do not allow ads and the third shows so few ads, that it's likely not them. - Tiff

  1. Very odd behavior, almost like he is being controlled. Very interesting.

  2. Oh dear. Not he’s teleporting away!

    Still not good. 🙁

  3. Just thought I would let you know that I am having video ads with sound show up on the site today while using IE, so it’s not just Chrome. They manifested in the ad string just under this post, but do not load when tested in FF.

    1. I just thought I’d add in that I heard “ad-like music” but I recognised the music. It was an advert, for a department store here in Australia, where I am. There was also the corresponding video just below the most recent blog post.

  4. Speaking of adds, I’ve enabled scripts that are specific to your page and disabled add blocker on your site, and still don’t see any. What advertisers / domains do you use? Maybe I need to enable some third-party domain scripts in order to see adds on your site.

Also, are you aware that adblockplus (the leading adblocker on FireFox) now has certain add permissions enabled by default, for non-intrusive and non-annoying adds? Information on this program can be found at https://adblockplus.org/en/acceptable-ads

I hope you find this info helpful. If not, just ignore it. 😉

    1. I use contextweb and projectwonderful – I see ads in Firefox, but none have automatic sound.

      1. Yeah, I’ve tried allowing all scripts, and turning off add blocker, and the only thing I get is a single banner for another web comic served by webcomicbucket.com

Enabling webcomicbucket.com enables the graphic at the bottom of the screen, enabling the one at the top requires enabling both webcomicbucket.com and contextweb.com in addition to disabling addblockplus.

As an odd note, even when refreshing with all scripts on the page enabled, I get a quick view of a box that looks like it should hold an add to the right of the comic add, and the comic add has several pixels covered by the wall paper of the site.

I’ve tried this both in a Firefox 3 and a Firefox 9 browser.

  5. No worries. He has just stepped out to buy a Valentine’s present for Chel.

  6. Uh oh, looks like that “dark side” to lex is coming out o.o

  7. Oh Cruddles!

It seems like that little imp in his head was finally let out. Now we might get some idea of why everyone is so tight lipped about Lexx’s missing memory from his past set of games.

  8. All we know is it’s bad.

Now we will find out just how bad.

  9. Is he. . .DYING!?!?! NOOOOO!

  10. Did the shadows come from behind him? It’s kinda difficult to sidestep a lion. Lol at her expression in the last panel. I know she’s worried, but it could easily be put in so many amusing lights as well. 😀

  11. i”m just glad I’m not the only one hearing those sounds XP

  12. I can’t figure out how to get rid of them without doing something that ends in me taking down the site. :/

  13. The video-audio ads didn’t bother me. I have sound disabled most of the time when laptop-surfing, and at work, sound is enabled, but I’m not wearing the headphones most of the time.

Second on the “Lexx stepped out to get Chel a gift.”
    I hope.
