Back on the island, Chel slowly walked back down the hallway thinking about what had just happened. I can’t make Lexx any promises I’m not prepared to keep. I’m going to do what I can to help him now. She justified herself. It had not been an easy conversation and they were now dancing around the obvious. It was not a fun dance. If he just catches the dice … that’s all he has to do. We should stay here … Riley? Riley?
Chel reached out over the relay to check on what Riley was doing before she came back out onto the balcony.
“Lexx is blocking me.” Riley popped into existence in the same field that Chel and Lexx had been speaking over. It was fresh in Chel’s mind.
“What did you do, Riley? Lexx wasn’t supposed to be here.” Chel folded her arms and gave Riley a stern look.
