Chel split off from her siblings once they reached the pool and went into a nearby park. There were several small bathrooms scattered throughout the park with lockable doors. She picked one and locked the door behind her. Lexx had shown her how to set the remote to return her back to where she left from instead of the primary setting of her room. She set it, activated the door and within moments stepped onto the Rift. It was dark. As usual, she could see into the biosphere. Skate was lazily floating in the water and a rather round looking Epsy was resting halfway in and halfway out of the water. Chel paused for a moment, squinting at the large dice. She really looked rounder around the middle than she had. Chel shook the thought from her head, filing back to ask Lexx later.
Up in the living area, dice were scattered across the floor and on the small couch. Energy was curled up in almost a serpentine manner right in the middle of the floor. Chel paused in the doorway, not really wanting to wake the dice by walking by them. "Lexx?" She called out in a low whisper. "Lexx? Where are you?" The response was immediate - from the dice. Energy uncoiled, sweeping his long body around to face Chel, while Fly and Swiftpaw bounded off the couch, sending Drift into the air. "Chel!" Energy growled happily. "It's Chel! Chel! Chel! Chel!" Swiftpaw bounced around Chel and over a somewhat stunned Drift several times before Chel was able to take a breath.
