"No, Epsy!" Energy stood up at the last possible moment, drawing his legs up against his body and shouting. "I don't want your eggs!" Epsy's jaws snapped shut inches from his body. She ignored his please and swung her head sideways, using her momentum to smack into Energy's chest, then she lifted her head sharply, sending the much lighter Energy flying through the air. Energy hit the mud several yards away and scrambled for traction. He was gasping for air and mildly stunned. The back half of his body didn't seem to want to respond. Epsy glared at him and slowly approached with her jaws open and head down. If he didn't move quickly, he was going to get a sizable chunk of flesh removed. Energy's hind legs kicked feebly in the mud and slowly responded. Searing pain ran up his back as he willed himself to move. Swiftpaw quivered. He took one tentative step then jumped out of his hiding place. Drift was right behind him, not wanting to be left alone and feeling it was better to be by Swiftpaw. "Epsy!" The fox yelled. He darted forward, half flying, half running in a panicked charge. "Over here!" It would only be a few more jumps. "What am I doing?!" Swiftpaw screamed at himself. "No!" Drift shouted, flailing his small wings. "Not here!!" Epsy's attention turned away from Energy. He was going away, but now there were two more to chase off. She growled and turned to meet them.

  1. Y’know, everyone talks about what a coward Swiftpaw is, but it seems to me that he’s always one of the first dice to step up and do something when the situation gets dire.

    1. That’s a really good point, man c: Swift’s pretty brave imo ^_^

      1. He’s courageous because he’s such a small, helpless coward. If he was a big strong die, he’d have more reason to be not scared. As it is he’s a side one or two die, and he’s usually up against a side four at least.

        1. Really, Drift’s the coward. The soft, fluffy, adorable coward.
