"Late." Darkness filled Chel's mind as the question was sent over the relay instead of spoken aloud. Chel had the sensation she was floating in nothing and anything darkness surrounded her. "Lexx?" Chel called out. Gradually, dim light creeped into the area around Chel and she felt her feet touch something firm. "Lexx?" She called out again. "I'm here,… but I'm not going to accompany you." Lexx appeared from the shadows, looking more like when Chel had first met him than just a few seconds earlier. "I don't want to see what you explore. The doors are open. Just walk through them by asking whatever you want. I have nothing to hide. I am completely open to you." As quickly as he had appeared, Lexx's form faded back into the darkness, leaving Chel with many questions and uncertainty. "… Lexx." Chel thought he was actually going to stay with her, not let her wander. "He's different. What's going on? Has something happened?"

  1. A mental image does not always reflect the actual physical appearance…in fact, it only rarely does. For them to have ‘dream avatars’, which resemble themselves so strongly is actually an indication that they’re actually quite comfortable with their skin.

    1. That’s a good explanation. As an example, my dream avatar is played by Ryan Reynolds, where as my real self is played by Nolan North.

    2. GOD yes. Mine isn’t even recognizable as me, except that I know I’m me of course.

    3. Except in the case of the Dice, who’s avatars seem to change with them, otherwise they would probably keep their image of their base form. You can especially see it in Stealth, who’s been portrayed in a few different sides.
