“Next.” Lexx stared blankly at the arena wall, not wanting to face Riley.
“Lexx, you need to take a break.” Riley began. “No one has ever pushed their levels like this –“
“No, I’ve only rolled three times.” Lexx shook his head. “I don’t have a choice, Riley.”
“One hour, Lexx. I’m just asking you to rest for one hour.” Riley insisted. Surely if he pushed he could break Lexx’s concentration on the battles to how tired he actually was. Riley knew exactly what Lexx was doing. He didn’t give himself any time between battles to think about anything else, driving on from the conclusion of one immediately to the start of another.
