"Look! It's growing again!!" Lexx exclaimed in a cheery voice that sounded far from the Lexx that Chel knew, but then again, there was a similarity in the sound. "It'll be like it was."
"Like it was?" Chel inquisitively bent over.
"It was all green!" He moved quickly past Chel, then stopped. This little version of Lexx was so much more energetic and free in how he moved. There was not any self restraint. "Mommy and daddy cared for the garden, now I have to.." Then, he ran.
"Where are you going?" Chel called after him. She had barely turned in time to see him dart down the path and over a little hill. Without a second thought, Chel ran after him.
"To the spring! Do you want to see it?" Lexx replied with a happy child's laugh. "It's beautiful!"
