The silence was eery and clinical. Chel saw Lexx laying on a steel gurney. The look on his face was unlike any she had ever seen. His eyes were open, but focused on nothing. There was a bag of something that looked like blood hanging on a translucent rack next to the bed. He was bandaged now and covered with a crisp white sheet. Chel stayed where she was. She could hear voices. "He will live and I'm sure he's learned a valuable lesson." The voice echoed in an alien tongue over words she could understand. "It should make him less distractable by the opposite sex." "We moved the two Littans that attacked him to the 'biters' ward." Chel shivered. She recalled Riley's fangs. He could have bitten her. He had threatened to bit her. It wasn't a serious threat. She hoped. "Odd. Half-breed Littans aren't normally prone to that type of behavior." A third cold voice stated. "When Lexx recovers, move him to the select ward."
