Victor turned away from her to face Riley, leaving Chel to follow with her thoughts running in a panicked pace.
“Is there anything I can do to change your mind?” Riley spoke the words Chel had held back and she couldn’t help but roll her eyes and sigh at his stupidity in even asking. Of course, he didn’t know her father like she did.
Vic slowly turned to glare at Riley for a moment before stating very sternly, “No.” Riley nodded and slowly walked past them.

*edit* Cats have food and I left it out by accident (family in town) Came home to find two fat cats and a corgi. They're not getting fed again for the next 24 hours. :P
Only one day left in the month to reach the goal and get additional updates! ($119 to cap off the month, feed my kitties who are now out of food, and pay rent.)

I still can’t blame Vic for being angry and scared, though we only see the anger.

Please tell me this is the part where Chel remembers that the ship has gateways that can take her home in an instant an uses one to go to Lexx’s house.

I’m sure they have a limited range. Otherwise, what’s the point of having ships at all?

Plus, Lexx is here. Chel definitely doesn’t want to leave him right now, even considering what just happened!

Chel’s an adult. Vic has no power over her. If she leaves, it’ll just be another Angstfest emobinge. I wanna see Chel finally just commit for the long haul that she’ll stick with Lexx till he’s out of this mess, and then re-evaluate the situation then.

Chel is an adult – but she’s also still living at home and therefore subject to her parents decisions and censure.

Well, she still needs to be able to decide. If someone is renting your house, does that mean you should control their love life? And yeah, chel is not paying, but that’s becuase she is Vic’s daughter. But she is also an adult and deserves the respect that is due to both positions.

More importantly, she has already given her word not to abandon Lexx. She’s going to have a choice pretty soon, as will Vic.
Don’t forget, Vic is a representative of an Earth government, and he is planning to bring Lexx back for observation. ADC is attempting to contain or destroy the threat of Lexx to their carefully-laid plans. Then there’s the whole anti-ADC coalition.
The only people who are rooting for Lexx’s desires is Chel and Riley, and Chel’s about to learn that to do so, she might just have to decide whether she is willing to work against her own father to see Lexx through.

ive been reading this comic strait through for a week. I hit this and all i can think is why must updates be slower than my reading speed. Great comic and cant wait for more
