"I guess it's a little difficult to not apply how I'd feel in a situation like hers." Chel admitted. "I know what I want." "Lisaan knows what she wants." Riley smiled. "It's just on a completely different level to what we want. I know it wouldn't make me happy, but I've lived a life with so much more. I'm sure you have as well." "Yes ..." Chel nodded. "I wanted her to have what I have, what Lexx wants.Freedom." "Well, she has it." Riley turned a corner which Chel recognized as the hall that lead directly to her room. "Just in a different way." Riley stopped at her door. "We're here." "I'll see you in the morning." Chel yawned. Seeing the door and knowing there was a nice warm bed on the other side reminded her of just how tired she was. "Good night." "Good night, Chel." Riley stated politely. "Don't worry about Lexx." "I know he's in good hands ... but I still don't think I'll sleep well." Chel smiled wearily. She was tired, but thinking about Lexx and Lisaan was constantly nagging at her thoughts. "We'll keep watch." Stealth sat down by the door. Drift plopped down nearby, all but blocking the hallway. Fly completely ignored Stealth and remained on Chel's shoulder as the door opened to let her in with a light shffting sound. Chel paused on the other side of the door as the lights automatically turned on. She stared at the floor. The boxes that had been there before were gone. "They really are monsters." Chel sighed to herself. She walked further into the room unbuttoning her coat as she went. Fly hopped up on top of her head, hooking his claws over her headband and balancing himself easily. Chel completely ignored him, lost in thought. "The dice, they're monsters in every sense of the word." Chel folded her coat over her arms and walked toward the bedroom area. "No." She had a second thought. "They're just animals. Acting like animals do." There was little reassurance in that revelation.

  1. Monsters? Tell me Child, what is a monster? Is a monster everything that deviates from the will of nature? Then, indeed, the dice are monsters. However if monsters are those with evil in their hearts and intent…then no, the dice aren’t monsters.

  2. Don’t think of the dice as monsters.

  3. If she actually thought they were monsters, she wouldn’t ignore the monster crawling on her head…

  4. She is having a dramatic moment with a squirrel on her head.
