Something in the darkness suddenly nudged Lexx. He cast a fearful glance over his shoulder, expecting to stare into blood red eyes and was instead met with the softer golden green glow of a kinder creature. Stealth dropped her muzzle over Lexx’s shoulder and purred. The comforting sound immediately broke through the darkness as the warmth of Stealth’s presence surrounded him. She laid down next to Lexx, covering him protectively with one wing and continuing to purr so he could relax and truly rest. Lexx smiled and felt himself sink into Stealth’s soft mane in relief. For as annoying as the cat could be, she would never leave him. That was one of the few things he knew he could count on and knowing that allowed his worries to melt away.

  1. A friend in need is a friend indeed, hm?

  2. This actually made me cry. This comic quite often has me on the verge of tears, but this one just got me. The dice, and Stealth especially, though she’d never admit it, trully love Lexx.

    1. I may be jaded, but I found this very touching. Very few things can actually gut wrench me enough to bring a tear, but I seem to recall that Tiff manages it somewhere in here.
