"But he's an alien!" Victor grimaced in disgust. To him, this being, no matter what he looked like, was not of this world. And if he was not of this world, he had no business being anywhere near his daughter. Not that Victor really approved of most of the young men who would want to date Chel, but she was normally along the same lines of reasoning as he was. At least, he had always thought she was.
"Dear, he's a human." Melissa tilted her head, speaking softly. "It's not hard to put two and two together and match him up to that wing. It's either the same alien who grew back that wing or something similar." She was searching for a good explanation, even if it was out of the realm of science as she knew it. "He's probably no older than Chel. Look at the footage. It's dark, but our alien is clearly protecting Chel. Until we know what's going on, we shouldn't jump to any conclusions. Chel's apparently not afraid of him and if he's really as human as my tests show-"
Mental images that normally appeared in Victor's mind relating to young men and his daughter were now replaced by stereotypical grey aliens with bulging black eyes.

…and then Vic’s brain exploded.

Well so? Weren’t the Europeans, when they first reached America not also ‘Alien’? Is not the researcher, who fights his way through the jungles of Africa, an alien to the country too?
Are we not alien to the entire space out there? Really Vic, you should know better than being racist.

Stop this racism Vic. Just cause he has blue skin and wings doesn’t mean he’s a bad guy.

I don’t think its the alien thing as much as the “guy who likes my daughter” thing
