"But my friends?" Chel crumpled the luggage tag into her palm, squeezing it and thinking of the best way to deal with her parents and these other people. "Would you do anything to them?" "We just want to meet them." Mel continued smiling. "We're all very interested in meeting them ... and finding out why you're in that dress." Victor couldn't hold back anymore. What exactly were they doing on that island? Whatever it was, it wasn't anything he would have considered. "And makeup?" Mel couldn't resist chiming in. "You don't wear makeup." "It's a long story - please don't send anyone!" Chel sighed, suddenly feeling weary and ... naked. She had completely forgotten what she was wearing. "Chel, these people are here to discuss this situation with you." Vic changed the subject. "We did not send anyone to the island. We know where it is, but we thought it might be a good gesture on our part." "Your parents had to contact us for clearance." The visitors finally spoke up. Chel finally looked at them. The woman was pleasant enough. She had a nice smile and was dressed neatly. "We dropped everything to meet with you." The man stood up and smiled beneath a thick bristly mustache. Chel felt her body freeze as their statements sunk in. This was not real. This couldn't be real. She wasn't having this conversation. She wasn't in a room with people who hunted aliens. Chel giggled inside at her own reaction. Here she was astonished that people who hunt aliens were real when she had been cavorting around the world and into space with several aliens herself.
