He leaned forward, resting his elbows on the ledge and running his hands roughly through his hair. "I,… love … Chel." He spoke the words softly, admitting it to Riley. It felt good to say the words. There was a pause.
"What?" Riley hated pauses. "If you tell her?"
"Leave me alone, Riley." Lexx slumped forward and scowled. He had already said more than he should have. "You don't understand."
Riley grinned, leaning against Lexx and putting his right arm over Lexx's shoulders, careful of his wings. "Try me." He offered.

Honestly, they keep forgetting that audioring, don't they? That lovely little confession has just been broadcast over the ADC channels to whoever cares. Claudia will be thrilled, I'm sure.

Yep, let’s just admit I’m in love with someone, broadcasting it to all my enemies, confirming everyone’s suspicions and showing a weakness they can use to exploit me, endangering Chel in the process.
