Further down the hall, the ‘thief’ had lost most of her flour coating and was considering a stop to eat the juicy orange clenched in her jaws. She looked around for a good place to eat in private. The hallway was too busy for her liking and even though she could not hear her pursuer now, she couldn’t shake the feeling that she might come down the hallway at any moment. She walked a few more steps, bobbing her head inquisitively. A shimmer of gold and red caught her attention. With a low trill, the creature darted to the light and then passed through it. A few moments behind her, Stealth and Fly came to the glimmering light door. Stealth sniffed the air and caught the faint smell of citrus and flour. She sneezed. “Great!” Stealth growled, rubbing her nose with one forepaw. “It’s gone into a work area!” “Is this really worth muffins?” Fly sighed. “Worth muffins, no.” Stealth stepped through the lights. “I had my eyes on that big fish they brought in last night!”
