Sunset settled gently over the island in gold and red. A dozen aliens were gathered on the beach, talking and enjoying the colors of the setting sun. Inside the 'hideaway', things were still busily being prepared as more guests were arriving.
"Oh, you look so cute, Stealth!" Maenae giggled at the large cat. She had been dressing up the dice in small groups in a small room on one of the lower floors out of the way of the party preparations. Maenae had patiently brushed out the fur on each of the five dice sitting before her and curled Stealth's mane with Torin's help. She had been left alone with them to put the ribbons and collars around their necks.
"Will this day ever end?" Stealth sighed to herself. She could see her beautiful wild mane bouncing futilely in its new coiled form and she wondered how foolish she looked. The other dice all sat quietly.
Maenae scooted a chair up behind Rook and climbed up on it to adjust the kangaroo's hair a little more. Rook twitched and wrinkled her muzzle at the ticklish sensation of Maenae's tiny fingers.

Why is it, that I see trouble brewing once more? Because you see, Chel’s parents KNOW where Chel is…and I could just see them popping up in the middle of the party…together with a squad of heavily armed soldiers.
