"What?" Chel looked at him and noticed the troubled look on his face. He was staring intently at the screen.
"Those ships, they're called interceptors." Lexx replied. "They're probably here for Kane."
"Oh?" Chel stared ahead. She tried to sound surprised. "Is she in trouble?" Chel did not like Kane. She didn't like feeling that Kane was bad news when she didn't know her, but the feeling kept nagging at her.
"No." Lexx shrugged. "They can't go after her while she is on Earth."
Dash sat up on Chel's lap. He was so nervous he was shaking. This new development could be a bad thing for him and it was worrying him. What if Lexx turned back to check on Kane? What if they didn't really get him checked out? For the first time in Dash's short life, he knew true fear and the full realization of just how much he had to depend on Lexx and how much power Lexx held over his life was evident.
He felt worthless.
