Fly stared after Stealth as she trotted down one of the other hallways. His ears wilted back and he clutched his little paws tightly together. He didn’t like being left alone. That little monster they were chasing was bigger than he was. And its mouth was bigger than Fly’s head. The squirrel nervously turned a circle and weighed his options. He had Drift right beside him. Despite what Stealth had said, Fly had no problem with waking the gentle giant if he felt he was in danger. Fly stared up at Drift’s back and an idea sprung into his mind. It would be to his advantage to fly up and perch on top of Drift. Afterall, he could see the creature and pounce on it form above if it came into range. Engaging it on the ground would be far tougher than from the air. The squirrel crouched, then sprung into the air, spreading his legs and flaring his sails to glide up and on top of Drift. Fly arced his body to slow himself for a landing and dropped immediately … and vanished into Drift’s thick fur.
