'It can't be. How?!" Vic scowled and slowly set the photos down on top of the report. Chel could have fallen and been hurt when the helicopter fired on her. She could have been shot. She could be in trouble right now. "John, have you heard anything interesting from the house?" He turned to the agent closest to him.
"No, Sir." John shrugged sipping his cup of coffee and staring intently at a screen in front of him. "Just the usual conversations you hear from teenagers."
"How many voices have you heard?"
"Three, two female, one male."
"John, I'm going in now." Vic got up and removed his glasses. He couldn't sit here any longer.
"Now? But Vic, you aren't supposed to go in until eve-" John pointed out.
"I need to check on my daughter." Vic moved through the cramped van to where he'd put his bags near the door.
"You can't just call them?" John suggested.
"No." Vic frowned, "I need to see her." He had to check on her visually and see she was okay. And he had to do it immediately.

Vic is a good father, but a bad agent. He sees his daughter with one of the targets. He should be getting himself reassigned. He is personally and emotionally involved, and contrary to what Hollywood says, that is a bad thing for someone whose job involves determining whether or not to shoot someone. This is why cops aren’t assigned to murder cases of anyone they know.
If Vic were competent, he’d know this. I choose to believe that Vic knows this, but he doesn’t care. He isn’t thinking about what’s good for the mission, he just wants to be the family hero.
Maybe I misjudged him. Maybe he’s not incompetent. Maybe he’s just an asshole. Considering some of his other actions, including just ‘chewing out’ at a guy for shooting an unarmed man in the back instead of severely punishing him, I am inclined to… Um… Actually, that could go either way.

You need to consider that maybe Tiff doesn’t know the ins and outs of being a federal agent…
