“Did Epsy and Zeta’s eggs hatch?” Drift peered down at Fly and the creature now rolling on the ground squealing. Fly was trying his best to keep from being rolled on and Drift reached out with one forepaw to gently roll the creature forward so it wouldn’t crush Fly.
“That sounds like a good explanation, Drift!” Fly exclaimed. “In that case, we can just take it to Epsy!”
“Did you catch it?!” Stealth came running. She hadn’t even made it to the end of the hallway before hearing the wailing.
The creature swung his head around to stare in Stealth’s direction. All she could see was sharp teeth and claws.
“All by myself!!” Fly squeaked happily.
“Great!” Stealth licked her lips. “Let’s get it to Lisaan and claim our reward!”

I just want to say ... I love the way Drift's turned out in the first panel. While I get close most of the time, I rarely hit dead-on to the correct angle of a face on an avian type character... and it's perfect in my eyes this time. Mostly due to the shading. Someday I hope to have the full Painter X so I can easily color everything in Painter and abandon Photoshop. :D
