Lexx placed his hands on either side of Chel’s head, running his fingers up into her hair as he leaned toward her face. He was still smiling as he whispered, “I promise.” He meant it. Chel knew he did and now she was suddenly aware of how warm Lexx’s hands were and how close he was. It may have only been in the relay, but she had an overwhelming urge to kiss him. They didn’t get that chance. Lexx suddenly glanced aside and frowned. Chel followed his gaze and then both turned to see a very stern looking Riley and Zaile staring at them. “Shouldn’t you be asleep?” They stated in unison.

Auprès de ma blonde, qu’il fait bon dormir!

  2. Ahahaha, foiled again!

  3. CURSE YOU RILEY
    (and zhane)

  4. Just a question, Is there any way you can get rid of that horrible black pop-up bar that appears at the bottom of the comic on mouse-over? If I wanted to share, I’d think that a simple “share this comic” button below would be much more effective, otherwise, it’s just distracting me from the beautiful artwork.

    1. Don’t mouseover? 😀 I’ve gone in and looked and since I put it in… a LARGE number of people are actually using it, whereas the like or share button got used… once a week, if that.

      1. Now. If people are hitting it ACCIDENTALLY, they need to let me know, because that is a problem.

        1. I don’t mind removing it if people aren’t actually using it.

        2. I avoided hitting it accidentally during my archive run (I hadn’t read the comic for a few years, financial woes) by not moving my mouse itself from over the comic, and if it covered something scrolling down slightly. That kept it from triggering the ‘Share this Comic’ overlay, and also didn’t require me to wait for it to come up before clicking the comic to go to the next one.

Now I can bookmark the main page to get it added once more to my sets of webcomics I read and can wander back over to Cyantian to finish going through those archives (still debating if I want to just read Campus Safari 2.0 or go through the originals archives while I wait, decisions decisions).

        3. Just go read the original while you wait. 😀 It’ll give you some insight into the characters. 😀
Personally, I think their little overlay could use far less space and may remove it anyway because I realized that I never see it, because I don’t mouseover to begin with, meaning a lot of people will just forget it was ever there even if they’ve used it.

    2. I use Firefox with NoScript, and I don’t see it.
      So, apparently, that’s a solution?

(After some experimentation, it seems to come from wibiya.com, so if you block Javascript from that site, you won’t see it. Then again, I may be talking about the wrong thing since the one I see is blue.)

      1. I turned it off earlier. 😉

  5. A-a-a-a-a-and the Chaperons catch them.

    1. My thoughts exactly! Busted!

  6. you know, going back and re-reading this comic from a decade ago…I’m struck by technology. Let’s take the book-plates for instance. Can anyone say Kindle? lol

  7. Moodkiller, much?

  8. “I was… sleep walking! That’s it! Yeah!”

  9. How does that song go? “Leave a tender moment alone.”
