There was an awkward silence. The aliens that Chel had been talking to were still standing there with weird grins on their faces as though waiting for Lexx to do something.
Then, for the first time since they'd met, Chel felt a surge of relief as Riley appeared from literally nowhere, brandishing a small glass with some golden drink in it and yelled.
"Free drinks at the bar! Go enjoy yourselves!"
There was an immediate exodus from Lexx and Chel's location, including Riley who bounced by with a playful grin.
